Film Screening: 'Russian Ark'

College of Humanities, Department of Russian and Slavic Studies
January 28, 2015

The UA College of Humanities' Department of Russian and Slavic Studies has partnered with Arizona Opera to offer a free screening of the film, Russian Ark.

This award-winning film holds the record for the longest, single shot in cinematic history. This film takes the audience on a journey through the Winter Palace and explores 300 years of Russian history. Enjoy this stunning fantasia about the beauty and fragility of Imperial Russia. Stay after the screening to participate in a panel discussion. Please reserve your spot at www.azopera.org/events/film-screening-russian-ark-1.

Please join us on Friday, Jan. 30 in the UA Poetry Center's Rubel Room. A light reception will begin at 6 p.m. followed by the movie screening and panel discussion at 7 p.m.

In collaboration with No Festival Required.
