'Fire in the Sky: An Evening of Lightning' Photo Presentation and Talk

Atmospheric Sciences
April 23, 2013

Since 1971, Ralph Wetmore has been capturing powerful desert imagery throughout the Southwest, specializing in wildlife, nature, and lightning photography. His latest book, 30 Years of Lightning Photography in Southern Arizona, is the culmination of over 40 years of chasing lightning storms throughout our local deserts and surrounding communities.

Join us on Tuesday night, April 30th at 5:30 p.m. when the Atmospheric Sciences Department (http://www.atmo.arizona.edu/) hosts a presentation of electrifying Arizona monsoon imagery in the Center for Creative Photography Auditorium on the University of Arizona Campus. Discover the many amazing facts, myths, and dangers of this always beautiful, but often misunderstood, phenomenon.

This program is free and open to the public.
