Subject: Vacation carry forward and remaining 2022 holidays

As a reminder, the carry forward maximum for vacation hours from one calendar year to the next has been permanently increased to 320 hours (prorated by FTE), which equates to 40 days.*
Jan. 8, 2023, is the last day to use excess 2022 vacation hours before they are forfeited.
Vacation hours accrued during the Dec. 26, 2022, through Jan. 8, 2023, pay period will be applied after any excess hours are forfeited.

- Nov. 11: Veterans Day
- Nov. 24-25: Thanksgiving and day after
- Dec. 23 & 26: Christmas Eve and Christmas Day (observed)
- Dec. 27-30: University Closure
- Jan. 2, 2023: New Year's Day (observed)
*Postdoctoral scholars can carry forward a maximum of 1.5 times the number of vacation hours earned in a year.
