Anne Breckenridge Barrett Named CCP Director

Anne Breckenridge Barrett has been director of collections and exhibitions at the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago since 2013. As director of CCP, she hopes "to build upon its reputation and create innovative programming that promotes civic engagement while nurturing connections across a thriving university community."

Tannis Gibson Named Interim Dean of College of Fine Arts

Music professor Tannis Gibson is an internationally acclaimed pianist and award-winning educator. She joined the UA in 2000 and has served as associate director for faculty affairs in the School of Music and as co-chair of the University Advisory Committee on Promotion and Tenure.

Connecting Students to Opportunity

To better serve students in preparing for their future careers, three offices have been combined into one: UA Student Engagement and Career Development. The idea is to move away from a "transactional career development approach" to one that focuses on integrated learning experiences.

UA Community Explores VR During Summit

The two-day VR summit gave members of the UA community a chance to go on virtual and augmented reality adventures. The event also brought together researchers and students for demonstrations and discussions on the state of technology and its use as an instructional tool.
