Temporary rental – Starr Pass home

Temporary rental – Starr Pass home

Absolutely beautiful, immaculate, west-side foothills home perfect for those needing temporary housing, visiting faculty, researcher or staff. Fully furnished, situated on the edge of Tucson Mountain Park, near JW Marriott Resort, Starr Pass Golf Club and excellent hiking and mountain biking trails. 10-minute drive to The Mercado and Congress Street tram to downtown and the University of rizonaA. 15-minute drive to campus, 20-minute drive to the Desert Museum and Saguaro National Park west. Home available for rent: May 15ish - October-ish (let's talk to confirm dates!).

Home is excellent condition, engineered for passive cooling (cooling bill may be ~$200/month if home kept at ~83F). Home is 2,600 sq ft in total, and we are interested in renting all of it except the master suite. Huge great room with 14' ceilings, and beehive fireplace, furnished with beautiful black American leather sectional and vintage style blue cloth couch, as well as large square dining table with seating for eight. Extremely nice saltillo tile flooring throughout the home. Walls of windows provide excellent natural lighting.

In addition to the great room, there is a family room with 3 leather club chairs (2 yellow and one white), a white leather loveseat, and 48" smart TV. The well-appointed kitchen has granite countertops, oak cabinetry, restaurant-grade gas range, new microwave, new oven and nearly new refrigerator.

Primary bedroom has designer metal queen bed and 2 matching nightstands, small sitting chair, and en-suite tiled bathroom with tub and shower. Second bedroom off hallway has single bed (daybed), large desk, built-in bookshelves and large closet (presently this room is used as our home office). The public bathroom in hallway between kitchen and garage also is equipped with a tub, tiled shower (tile have images of Gambel's quail), and closet. Two additional closets in hallway. The laundry room has a new washer/dryer. Some cleaning supplies, dust-mop, mops and a vacuum provided.

The best part of this home is the spacious outdoor living space, centered on a large covered patio, shaded by lovely mesquite tree, with dipping pool/hot tub, walled exotic and local cactus gardens, outdoor beehive fireplace, BBQ and flower garden. Sunrise, sunset, mountain (Rincon, Santa Rita, and Tucson Mtns) and nighttime city views are simply spectacular. Property rises from the home and peaks atop hill with benches for sitting and viewing Catalina Mountains. Fantastic bird-watching, wildlife viewing and star-gazing from the property and back patio.

This home would be perfect for a couple working at the University or spending time in Tucson to visit family. The location is extremely safe and serene (though there can be obnoxious military air traffic sometimes). It is on a protected cul-de sac away from any large streets. There is off-street parking on the property, and garage space for 1 car. Rent is $2,600 per month plus electricity, gas and water. Internet and weekly pool cleaning service provided.
