13th Learning Technologies Showcase Slated for May 8

Hands-On Instructional Technology is the theme of the 13th Annual Learning Technologies Showcase, a day of events designed to help instructors learn to use technology in their classrooms.
The showcase, co-sponsored by Learning Technology Services and the Well University Partnership, will be held May 8 from 8:30 a.m. to noon at the Integrated Learning Center.
This year's keynote speaker is Tom Potter, a former University of Arizona professor. Potter will discuss "The Magic of Laughter."
The showcase also will feature poster sessions in the ILC courtyard, covering topics such as tablet PCs, Access Grid computing and Learning Technology Services.
Breakout sessions will cover interactive instruction using YouTube and iTunes, as well as a D2L update and information about Second Life.
Over the years, the showcase has been held to provide a centralized place for sharing best practices of the use of learning technologies, according to the Learning Technologies Services Web site.
Participants are invited to submit a project, a tool, a scholarly
article or other activity in which technology is used to enhance
teaching or learning.
