AAFSAA Accepting Grant Proposals


Members of The University of Arizona community are invited to apply for grants from the Asian American Faculty, Staff and Alumni Association.
The AAFSAA grants are awarded to University students, staff, faculty, programs or departments embarking on projects that further the AAFSAA mission to foster greater understanding and appreciation of Asian and Pacific American traditions and heritages and to promote the academic and cultural interests of the UA community.
The maximum grant award is $500 and the deadline to apply is noon on Feb. 20.
Application packets should include a cover letter, a letter of recommendation and a written proposal of no more than three double-spaced pages describing an individual's objective, the significance of the proposed project and how it relates to the AAFSAA mission, time frame and plan for implementation, a detailed budget and a description of how the endeavor benefits the individual and the UA. Students must also submit a UA transcript.
One original and two copies of the application should be submitted to:

The funded project must be completed within one year of award notification, and a brief summary of the project and a one- to two-page final report must be submitted to AAFSAA within 30 days of its completion.
