Employees Invited to Arizona Football Luncheon

University of Arizona employees are invited to meet members of the Arizona Football staff and learn about discounts on season tickets at one of three free faculty and staff luncheons.
The first luncheon, catered by Famous Dave's Barbecue, takes place today at noon in Room 329 of the McKale Center. Assistant coach David Nichol will speak at the event.
The luncheons, which are scheduled for today, Friday, and July 1, are meant to involve more UA employees in UA football and inform them about season ticket discounts, said Alixe Holcomb, Arizona Athletics marketing associate. All UA employees receive a 15 percent discount on up to two season tickets, which regularly start at $92 for adults. Â
"We felt like we haven't been giving some love to faculty and staff lately and they're such a huge part of the University we wanted to include them," Holcomb said.
Bill Baker, Arizona football coordinator, will speak at Friday's lunch and Erick Harper, director of football operations, is scheduled to speak July 1, Holcomb said.
No reservations are required for the luncheons, which are open to all University employees. Football tickets are available for purchase through the McKale Ticket Office, 621-CATS.
