Foundation Accepting Grant Proposals Through April 14
The University of Arizona Foundation is accepting applications for independent and research grants through April 14.
The Foundation annually awards nearly $200,000 in grants to UA faculty, staff and students through its grants programs.
Independent grants are for requests that are neither technical in nature nor steeped in the research and genre of a particular field. These proposals should be independent from any sort of larger, campuswide grant application process. Conference fees, office equipment and certain publication expenses are examples of projects that have been funded through the independent grant track.
The Foundation's small grants program provides funding of up to $10,000 to highly technical and specialized research projects. The program is operated in conjunction with the UA Vice President for Research in the Office of Research.
Proposals for small grants are reviewed by committees of faculty peers who are familiar with the particular area of research. Once deemed eligible and valid by the peer committees, the proposals are then submitted to The University of Arizona Foundation Grants and Awards Committee.
