Free Flu Shots for Employees This Weekend

University of Arizona employees who are covered by a UA health insurance plan can get their seasonal flu shot for free by attending a drive-through clinic this weekend.
The clinic – being held by the Campus Health Service in collaboration with other UA departments – will offer the shots on Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon. To get to the clinic area, head east on Second Street from Park Avenue. Because this is a drive-through clinic, participants will stay in their vehicles from start to finish. The first 200 to show up will get a free flu prevention kit.
Employees insured under a UA plan are asked to bring their CatCards, their insurance cards and their employee identification numbers (available on pay stubs and at the top of the time sheet display on UAccess) to receive their shot for free. All others will be charged $15, payable with cash, Visa/MasterCard or check with picture ID. Receipts will be given for those who wish to submit them to insurance companies for reimbursement.
To help the clinic staff deliver shots more quickly, participants are asked to wear short-sleeved shirts.
The clinic is also open to students but only those at least 18 years old. At this time, only seasonal flu shots are available.
