Jason Tolliver, executive director of Auxiliary Services and Student Union at Louisiana State University, has been selected to head the Arizona Student Unions.

Tolliver is expected to begin his new position at the University of Arizona on April 2, taking over for interim Director Joel Hauff.

Tolliver will manage all aspects of the Arizona Student Unions, including the Student Union Memorial Center, the Park Student Union, satellite facilities and operations, campus dining, concessions, catering, contracted retail services and an expansive range of programs and services for the UA community of 50,000 students and employees.

"I'm excited to join the UA and lead the Arizona Student Unions," Tolliver said. "The team is great, the facilities are among the best in the nation, and the foundation is set for many years of continued growth."

Frank Farias, associate vice president for Student Affairs, noted the track record of success that Tolliver will bring with him.

"Jason's understanding of all aspects of union facilities from retail to dining to student life – and everything in between – makes him uniquely qualified to run the Arizona Student Unions. We couldn't be happier to have him," Farias said.

Tolliver will oversee operations and staffing, the budget and the overall direction of programs and services. He also will develop and put into place additional strategies to grow the Arizona Student Unions fiscally, and he will enhance retail and social offerings that align with the University’s retention and recruitment goals.

During his tenure at LSU, Tolliver has overseen the LSU Student Union, LSU Dining, Barnes & Noble at LSU, the LSU Child Care Center, retail development, contract management, LSU Vending, LSU Concessions, the Tiger Card Office and the TigerCash program, the Union Theater and the Faculty Club Restaurant and Hotel. Tolliver was responsible for the negotiation and management of more than $25 million in university service agreements including on-campus banking, dining services, bookstores, vending, laundry and campus mail.
