Wildcat football season is just around the corner, with the first UA home game on Sept. 10 against Grambling State University.

Those who plan to attend football games at Arizona Stadium this fall are reminded that the clear bag policy is in effect for all Arizona Athletics events.

The policy, which took effect in the spring, limits the size and type of bags that spectators are allowed to bring into Arizona Athletics venues. The policy states that bags must be clear plastic or vinyl and cannot exceed 12-by-6-by-12 inches. One-gallon plastic bags, like Ziploc bags, are acceptable and very small clutch bags will be allowed as well, after being searched. The graphic to the right shows what types of bags are and are not allowed.

Items that are needed for medical reasons, such as oxygen tanks, diabetes kits, allergy pens and others, will be permitted after proper inspection.

The policy was enacted to ensure that UA athletic events are as safe as possible and that venue access is efficient.

You can purchase an approved bag at any UA BookStores location or online.

For more information on the clear bag policy, visit the Arizona Athletics website.
