Search Under Way for Vice Provost for Academic Affairs, Associate Provost for Faculty Affairs
The University of Arizona community is invited to submit nominations for two positions in the Office of the Executive Vice President and Provost â€“ vice provost for academic affairs and associate provost for faculty affairs.
The vice provost for academic affairs will work with academic departments and colleges as they develop, change or refine their academic degree programs. The associate provost for faculty affairs will work on matters related to the development and professional growth of faculty and academic administrators.
The internal search was announced yesterday in a memo sent to the UA community by Executive Vice President and Provost Meredith Hay.
Candidates will be identified by a single search committee, which will be chaired by Miranda Joseph, chair of the Strategic Planning and Budget Advisory Committee, and Tom Peterson, dean of the College of Engineering.
"I have charged them and their fellow committee members to work thoroughly but expeditiously to recruit strong candidates and make recommendations to me for these essential positions," Hay wrote. "My goal is to have as seamless a transition as possible, given the timing of various administrative leadership changes.
