University of Arizona employees and students will have not one but two opportunities to show their school spirit this week.

Tomorrow is "Sea of Red Day," when everyone on campus is encouraged to wear red to show support for the UA. The event is a staple of Wildcat Welcome, several days of events that are organized each fall to welcome students to campus.

On Friday, it's "College Colors Day," a national event in which students, fans and alumni are asked to wear apparel representing their favorite college or university (Arizona State University fans attending or working at the UA should exercise caution before participating). The annual event, organized by the Collegiate Licensing Company, is held to mark the start of the college football season, promote college spirit and traditions, and perhaps drum up sales of college merchandise. In the event that you wore your only red item of clothing on Thursday, head to the UA BookStore, where you'll get 25 percent off UA merchandise as part of Big Cat Fridays.

Come to think of it, better get a couple things. You'll need something clean to wear when the Wildcats take on Idaho in Arizona Stadium on Saturday.

Go Cats!
