Members of the campus community are invited to park their lawn chairs on the top of University of Arizona parking garages and take in the fireworks shows happening around Tucson on July 4.

Parking and Transportation Services will block the top level of each campus garage to allow spectators to watch fireworks, including the show at "A" Mountain.

"PTS is committed to supporting the campus community as well as safety," said Bill Davidson, marketing specialist at Parking and Transportation Servies. "We want the campus to enjoy the holidays in a safe manner and not have to be concerned about finding a place to park to watch the fireworks."

The garages will open at 6 p.m. No alcohol, barbecues, cooking or fires will be allowed. The event is free and open to the public.

For more information, call 626-PARK or visit http://parking.arizona.edu. To view a map of garage locations, visit http://parking.arizona.edu/visitors/parking.php.
