Did you ever think that the University of Arizona's demographic data could have grounded the OSIRIS-REx?

OK – that's a bit of a stretch. But the University plays a vital role in the success of the first mission to bring an asteroid sample back to Earth. When federal agencies like NASA consider the University for a partnership in missions like OSIRIS-REx, one thing they look at is our workforce's aggregate demographic data, including disability and veteran data. As a federal contractor, the University is required to annually report this aggregate demographic data.

To help ensure that the University has the most accurate information, please take a moment to login to and update your confidential demographic information including disability and veteran status. Your response is voluntary, but highly encouraged.

How will you use my information?

The information you provide will be kept confidential and will only be used for federal reporting purposes – and only in aggregate. The information you provide will not impact your current employment status, nor will it have any impact on your future employment prospects at the University of Arizona.

How do I update my information?

To verify or update your information, login to UAccess Employee ( with your UA NetID and password and select: Employee Self Service > Personal Information. From there, you may access and update your veteran status, disability, and race/ethnicity information.

What if I've already updated my information?

If you have not had a change in status, such as a new disability, you do not need to reaffirm your information.

How do I find out more about the University's disability resources?

The University strives to create an environment that is accessible and inclusive for all employees. The UA's Disability Resource Center (DRC) partners with University departments to eliminate barriers to access and promote inclusion. The DRC is also the primary point of contact for disabled employees regarding barriers to access and requests for reasonable accommodations.
