Subject: Spring Fling Will Return to UA Mall April 7-9

Date: March 23, 2017

We wanted to make sure that the campus community is properly informed of the campus impact regarding Spring Fling setup and event information. Spring Fling is the largest student-run carnival in the nation and crucially fundraises for over 40 campus clubs and organizations each year.

In addition, we would like to alert the campus to traffic restrictions and general campus changes that will occur starting April 3 at 6 a.m. until April 11 at 6 p.m. University Boulevard (on the UA Mall) will be closed between Cherry Avenue and Campbell Avenue. In order for Spring Fling to begin configuring the event area, temporary fencing will be erected on this portion of the Mall for the entirety of the closure.

Our hotline will be active starting the morning of April 3 at 8 a.m., but otherwise the number directs to our office. We greatly appreciate the flexibility and support that the Tucson and campus communities have shown Spring Fling. After 43 years, there's still nothing else like it!

We welcome any feedback through our email address, website, or office/hotline number.
