Dear Colleagues, 

As a member of the PAC-12 conference, the University of Arizona is occasionally scheduled to host weekday football games at Arizona Stadium. The next weekday game will be Friday, September 22, 2017 when our Arizona Wildcat Football team will play against the University of Utah. While this event will bring tremendous excitement to the UA community, it will also create some logistical challenges for us to address together.

In order to free up parking and minimize traffic on this game day, we ask that main Tucson campus supervisors arrange for as many employees and students as possible to work from home after 12:30 p.m., while ensuring that the work of the University proceeds. In the event an employee's work does not lend itself to a work-at-home assignment, supervisors may authorize University Release time. Supervisors will have the option to offer paid University Release time at a later date for employees who are required to remain on campus.

Afternoon classes on Tucson’s main campus will not be cancelled, but faculty members may opt to adjust their class schedules or course content.

Please see the attached document for information on how to report time, transportation and parking, and the University’s tailgating policy.

Each home game is an opportunity to showcase our campus and demonstrate our University spirit. Thank you for helping us welcome the guests who will be joining us on game day.
