University Communications
April 23, 2019

Members of the UA community came together April 23 for the first forum in the Campus Conversations series, which was created to give faculty, staff and students an opportunity to have one-to-one discussions about a variety of topics. The event was livestreamed by Arizona Public Media, and the recording is archived on the AZPM website.

The forum began with remarks from UA President Robert C. Robbins. A panel of members from the University community invited remarks and questions from audience members. The panelists were:

  • Nolan Cabrera, associate professor in the Center for the Study of Higher Education
  • Bryan Carter, director of the Center for Digital Humanities and associate professor of Africana studies
  • Jeffrey Goldberg, interim senior vice president of academic affairs and provost
  • Natalynn Masters, UA student body president
  • Anna Ochoa O'Leary, associate professor and head of the Department of Mexican American Studies
  • Ron Wilson, vice president for equity and inclusion and Title IX coordinator

Nancy Montoya, a producer at AZPM and a longtime Southern Arizona journalist, moderated the discussion.
