Lourdes A. Rodríguez, senior coordinator of childcare and family resources, offers one-on-one childcare and parenting consultations to help you explore options that fit your family's unique needs. Email lifework@arizona.edu to schedule an appointment.

Upcoming events

Building a Resilient Family in Uncertain Times: Find out how your family can thrive in spite of difficult situations in this series of workshops, led by employee assistance counselor James Naughton, MA, LPC, LISAC, and Senior Coordinator of Childcare and Family Lourdes A. Rodríguez, MS. The series begins Thursday, Aug. 13, at 11:00 a.m. with "Supporting Health and Stability in Families" and continues every two weeks through Sept. 23. Register now for individual sessions.

Childcare and Schooling During COVID-19: Join representatives from the Division of Human Resources on Thursday, Aug. 13, at 3:00 p.m. for an hourlong discussion about the challenges the pandemic has raised for parents, hosted by the Appointed Professionals Advisory Council and the Classified Staff Council. Register and submit questions now.

Parents at Work Workshops: While COVID-19 is certainly providing unique stressors this fall, many families also experience challenges that transcend structures, cultures and time. Senior Coordinator of Childcare and Family Resources Lourdes A. Rodríguez examines strategies for managing sibling rivalry on Wednesday, Oct. 14, at 11:00 a.m., and explains the importance of play on Tuesday, Nov. 17, at noon. Register now for individual sessions.
