2017 UA Leadership Education and Ally Development Retreat
Office for Diversity and Inclusive Excellence Presents the 2017 UA Leadership Education and Ally Development Retreat (LEADR) from Aug. 25-27.
Come and experience two days of interactive diversity games and activities, team building, and cultural/group presentations designed to prepare you for leadership in a diverse world. The diversity retreat is free to all UA undergraduate students.
The purpose of the retreat is to bring UA undergraduate students for:
- two days of interactive training related to diversity concepts, knowledge, terms and skill building;
- networking and relationship building with other UA students;
- increasing collaboration between student organizations on campus.
We will be exploring topics such as:
- Multicultural Leadership
- LGBTQIA
- Disability
- Religion and Worldviews
- Race and Ethnicity
- Intersectionality
- and many more....
We will also have a cultural night and celebration dance for students! Hope you can join us.
When: Aug. 25 at 2 p.m. and returning Aug. 27 at 3 p.m. Bus leaves UA at 3 p.m. on Friday. We will have accessible transportation, accessible cabins, all gender lodging, and a meditation/prayer room available for students.
Where: Triangle Y Ranch Camp, Oracle, AZ 85623 (42 miles from the UA Main campus)
