With The University of Arizona's Mars Web site [1], you won't have to miss even a minute of the Phoenix Mars Mission.

While the lander speeds toward the Red Planet, visit the site to read up on the history of the mission, which is the first NASA mission to tbe led by a public university. Then take a minute to plan where you'll be on Sunday afternoon to get the best view of the live broadcast of scientists at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory as they confirm the landing.

Once the lander gets to work, use the site to:

• Read the most up-to-date news about the mission.
• View images of Mars, plus videos.
• Check out the campus Mars map to find out where you can see and do even more.
• Get a complete list of public events happening during and after landing.
• Tune into NASA TV, which will offer complete mission coverage.

Also available on the Web site is "Up From the Ashes: The Phoenix Mars Mission," a short documentary detailing the evolution of the mission and what scientists hope to accomplish once the lander begins probing the soil on Mars.

The lander, which took off for the Red Planet from Cape Canaveral, Fla., in August, is scheduled to touch down on Mars late Sunday afternoon.
