Fulbright Scholar Application Deadline – Aug. 1
The Core U.S. Fulbright Scholar Program application deadline for Academic Year 2018 – 2019 is Aug. 1. The program offers teaching, research or combination awards in more than 125 countries. Opportunities are available for university faculty and administrators, as well as professionals, artists, journalists, scientists, lawyers and independent scholars.
In order to meet the changing needs of academia and develop new options to better accommodate the interests and commitments of today's scholars, the program includes several innovative program options such as: Fulbright Flex Awards [1], Fulbright Postdoctoral/Early Career Awards [2], Global Scholar Awards [3], and Teaching English as a Foreign Language Awards [4].
Interested faculty and professionals who want to learn more about these opportunities, review detailed award descriptions, and read eligibility requirements can do so by visiting the Council for International Exchange of Scholars (CIES) website [5] and reviewing the Catalog of Awards [6]. U.S. citizenship is required.
The application deadline for most awards is Aug. 1. To register your interest in the Fulbright Program, join the My Fulbright online community [7]for updates and to access helpful resources for applicants.
