Fusion Camps
Do you want your kids to stay active and learning all summer long? Choose UA Fusion Camps to promote active minds and bodies this summer!
UA Fusion Camps offer six weeks of themed camps that are infused with scientific exploration, literacy, creative arts and fitness. The camps provide children with unique hands-on experiences that promote a love for learning. Our popular Fusion Camps are located at the amazing Flandrau Science Center and Planetarium on the University of Arizona campus. Visit http://uafusion.arizona.edu [1] for information about 2017 summer camps.
There are many ways of learning, including through the arts and physical activity. Not only will each day include creative arts as a vehicle to teach concepts, but also physical activity, hands-on science explorations, literacy and time to explore the science center’s exhibit galleries. With trips to the UA Student Rec Center and Gittings Gym each week, campers are sure to engage their bodies as well as their minds.
We are fortunate to be a part of a rigorous academic environment at the University of Arizona and so we select undergraduate and graduate students with backgrounds in education or science to serve as counselors as well as local teachers. All of our counselors are trained extensively.
