Introduction to Foundation Directory Online
As part of its Foundation relations efforts to help UA faculty cultivate relationships and develop approaches to foundations, the GIFT Center would like to invite you to an introductory training session on how to use the Foundation Directory Online database (FDO). It is a comprehensive research tool to help you find the Foundation grantmakers most likely to fund your campus programs and projects. This tool provides access to more than 120,000 foundations and corporate foundations, as well as grantmaker giving priorities, giving history, and application information. FDO is such a great resource, and is most helpful for UA faculty and staff who are looking for charitable grant funding for a program already in place.
BONUS: We will also give you a short introduction into the Pivot database! Pivot is a searchable database of external funding opportunities valued at more than $44 billion of available funding from federal, non-federal, and international sponsors in all disciplines.
When: Thursday, November 16th from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
Where: Integrated Learning Center, Room A112
Please send an email to giftcenter@uafoundation.org [1] to RSVP by Nov. 13, as seating is limited.
