The University of Arizona Healthiest Campus Coalition Joins PHA and HC2020
The University of Arizona is proud to partner with the Partnership for a Healthier America (PHA) Healthier Campus Initiative and to take the America College Health Association's Healthy Campus 2020 (HC2020) pledge, in a drive to move the UA campus toward better overall health.
Partnership for a Healthier America
In our first year with the Partnership for a Healthier America, the UA submitted and was awarded third party verification for 65 percent of the required criteria. With our continued wellness initiatives always at the forefront, the UA, in a collaboration of the Student Unions, Campus Recreation, Campus Health, Life & Work Connections, and Parking & Transportation, has committed to completing 23 wellness-based criteria a full year ahead of schedule. We are excited to continue to excel in the areas of wellness focusing on diet, exercise and mindfullness in our drive to become the "Healthiest Campus in America!"
Healthy Campus 2020
The strategies of Healthy Campus 2020 provide campuses across the nation with the framework for improving the overall health status on college campuses. Through the collaborative efforts of the Student Unions, Campus Recreation, Campus Health, Life & Work Connections, Parking & Transportation and the Healthiest Campus Coalition, the University of Arizona is fostering healthy environments and behaviors.
