Department of Family and Community Medicine
May 8, 2018

Camp Wellness, a program within the UA Department of Family and Community Medicine, would like to invite you to the Tucson Palooza, Saturday, May 19, 2018 from 9AM-1PM at Reid Park's DeMeester Outdoor Performance Center. This community-wide, high-energy family/pet-friendly event brings together diverse agencies from across Tucson and Pima County to deliver useful information about mental health in a fun, informal setting. It is free to attend and combines the informational value of a resource fair, the festivities of a carnival (including games for the whole family, and live music. Tucson Mayor Jonathan Rothschild is scheduled to read a Mental Health Awareness proclamation.

This year's theme, "Who's it all about?" provides an opportunity to continue an open dialogue about who mental health effects and what that means for everyone during Mental Health Awareness Month. The Palooza is designed to reach new audiences and reduce the stigma associated with mental health.

Entertainment by local entertainers:

  • DJ Clint Pittenger
  • D.U.I. Squad (classic rock)
  • Mangas (alternative/Americana)
