Innovations in Healthy Aging
September 15, 2022

You're invited to a free community program!

Aging and the Arts: Poetry Circle Series

A collaboration between the University of Arizona Health Sciences Innovations in Healthy Aging initiative and the University of Arizona Poetry Center, the Aging and the Arts: Poetry Circle Series will create a space for the community through a conversation about life through poetry.

Innovations in Healthy Aging presents: Sandra Cisneros

Join us for monthly poetry discussions, led by the docents from the University of Arizona Poetry Center. This event is free and no preparation or knowledge of poetry is necessary to participate.

For anyone who enjoys poetry or learning more about poetry in a conversational setting, this informal gathering includes many opportunities to contribute to the conversation and ask questions. It is also a great way to meet people in the community who have similar interests.

About the Poetry

This month will focus on poems from the great Mexican American writer, Sandra Cisneros.

Event Location

The Aging and the Arts Poetry Circle meets in the Forum at the Health Sciences Innovation Building (HSIB), an indoor/outdoor space. The event venue offers appropriate room for social distancing, and the University recommends the use of face coverings in indoor settings.

HSIB is located at 1670 E. Drachman St. Tucson, AZ 85721. Complimentary parking will be available in lot 2012, adjacent to the building

Please register by Friday, Oct. 14.
