In November 2021, the Office of the Registrar proposed to update the Choice of Catalog Policy.

The updates contain no change to the policy regulations or implementation but serve to simplify the policy language and improve understanding. The updated policy text was reviewed and approved by the Undergraduate Council, Graduate Council, Undergraduate College Academic Administrators Council, Graduate College Academic Administrators Council, and the Faculty Senate during the Fall 2021 and Spring 2022 semesters.

The updated policy can be found online.

The updated policy is effective immediately.

Justification/Rationale

  • The updated policy will be clearer to understand, helping to inform students considering their choice of catalog year.
