Arizona Student Healthcare Options – Fall 2020 Open Enrollment

Please be advised that all students who were enrolled in the Student Health Insurance Plan or CampusCare for the spring/summer 2020 coverage period will be automatically enrolled within 3 business days of showing a registration unit.
All email notifications go directly to the student's official University of Arizona (@arizona.edu) email address in compliance with the University of Arizona email policy.
The University of Arizona mandates that all international students on non-immigrant visas (degree and non-degree seeking, resident or non-resident tuition) be enrolled in the Student Health Insurance Plan, unless one qualifies for an exemption (this includes international Arizona Online Students).
Newly appointed Graduate Assistants/Associates (GA) or those who missed the previous enrollment must enroll for coverage in order to receive the Student Health Insurance Plan benefit.
September 8, 2020 is the last day of the UA HealthCare Options Open Enrollment. This is the last day to add, cancel or make changes. There are certain qualifying life events that will allow one to come onto the plan outside of an open enrollment providing arrangements are made within 30 days of the qualifying event. Please contact the Campus Health Insurance office for further information.
INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS: Should not cancel coverage through their UAccess Student Center account; they must submit an exemption request.
The Arizona Board of Regents' Student Health Insurance Plan, underwritten by Aetna, is a major medical health insurance policy and a top-tier plan. Coverage extends nationwide and has an emergency benefit worldwide.
Coverage period: August 16, 2020 through December 31, 2020
This is a health care option limited to services provided within the UA Campus Health Service. This product is not health insurance and does not cover any services received out in the community including the Banner University Medical Center.

COMMERCIAL INSURANCE: The UA Campus Health Service is a participating provider to most United Healthcare, Aetna, Cigna, Health Net, and Blue Cross/Blue Shield plans for Primary Care Services.
The Aetna Dental PPO Plan will NOT be offered for the 2020-2021 policy year due to a premium increase of 77%, or a premium change from $343 to $607. This was a result of low enrollment and high utilization. Although this plan will not be available, Aetna will continue to offer their dental discount program, Vital Savings on Dental. Several independent dental plans may be available through other dental insurance providers.
