Arizona Women's Basketball Future Cats Basketball Clinics

Arizona Women's Basketball
January 18, 2018

Future Cats (formerly known as Little Dribblers), is a basketball clinic series the UA women’s basketball team is hosting for the youth of our community (Grades 2-8). Girls and boys of all skill levels are welcome! Based mainly around ball-handling, our UA women's basketball players will go over basic basketball concepts each session and discuss and demonstrate the discipline our Cats strive for on the court!

Attached you will find the schedule for the clinics and the application to fill out. All participants not only get great basketball instruction, but also get: an official Future Cats t-shirt, free admission for a future Cat and one chaperone to the women’s basketball game that day, and a pizza party after our last clinic session.

The first official day is January 21st, at 9:45am in Richard Jefferson Gymnasium, located northeast of McKale Center, and just north of Hillenbrand Pool.

We will have a registration table set up the first day to sign up if you haven’t yet, check in if you've already signed up, confirm t-shirt size, and answer any questions you may have. We will be accepting cash or checks on Sunday. Please make checks out to The University of Arizona. We want to make this open to as many as possible so we are willing to discuss payment plans.

Participants should wear athletic clothing and athletic shoes. They can bring a water bottle, but there are water fountains at the facilities. It's recommended to bring something warm as it gets drafty in the facilities. We will have plenty of basketballs, but if your child has a favorite ball they like to work with, feel free to bring it, and just make sure it is labeled properly so it does not get lost! Parents are welcome to stay, but must stay in the mezzanine area/off the court during the sessions.

On January 21st, please arrive 15 minutes early for registration so we don’t cut into teaching time for the kids!

If you cannot participate this Sunday, please let us know and we can start you for the next session. If you have any further questions please feel free to contact us at 520-621-4014.
