The National Academy of Inventors is having their annual meeting in Phoenix this year on June 14-15. The University of Arizona is a sponsor, and it's going to be a wonderful opportunity for our inventors and students to show off the great, impactful work we do here.

At the event, the NAI will be honoring new University of Arizona faculty Fellow and Senior Member inductees. Alongside these honors, the NAI is also holding an exclusive Next-Generation Innovators Session to showcase great student innovations.

For the students selected the NAI is providing complimentary admission to the 11th Annual Meeting breakfast, lunch and innovation sessions for up to 3 participating team members. 

The submission deadline is April 29, 2022. 

Eligibility:

  • Student team members must be enrolled in undergraduate, graduate, or doctoral programs at NAI Member Institutions are invited to submit an application.
  • Student team must have an endorsement from a faculty advisor.
  • Students must express interest in the advancement of their innovation through patenting, licensing, or commercialization.
  • The presented innovation must be relevant to the Annual Meeting theme: "Look Back, Think Forward: Framing the Future on Innovation."

Requirements:

  • Student team enrollment status and contact information.
  • Innovation abstract, including the next step to continue research and development and relation to sustainability.
  • Letter of recommendation from a faculty advisor.
