All University of Arizona students, staff and faculty are invited to submit essays, short stories, poetry, visual art, and photographs for Harmony Magazine. This literary journal is produced by the Medical Humanities Program at the UA College of Medicine – Tucson. Entries related to the world of medical humanities are preferred, but submissions of all themes and topics will be considered.

Besides receiving published recognition for your entry, all selected submissions will be considered for three top monetary awards including: 

  • Mathiasen Prose Award – Best submission in either prose or poetry
  • Ryan Visual Arts Award – Best visual arts submission
  • Parada Medical Student Award – Best overall submission from a University of Arizona medical student
