Camp Wildcat's Upcoming Annual Fundraising Auction
Established in 1965, Camp Wildcat is a student-run, non-profit organization at the University of Arizona that provides quality, cost-free camping trips for underserved and at-risk youth throughout the Tucson community. We offer children the opportunity to challenge personal limits, build interpersonal skills, explore creative outlets, enhance self-esteem, and view higher education and personal success as achievable goals. Our non-profit organization is composed of over 100 University of Arizona student volunteers that regularly dedicate their weekends to encouraging students to pursue their passions and stay in school. Since our creation in 1965, we have done all administration, fundraising, and camp directing without a paid staff or faculty assistance. Each year, Camp Wildcat performs over 30,000 hours of community service towards helping youth in Arizona!
This spring we are hosting our annual benefit auction from 6-9:30 p.m. on April 27 in the Sonora Room of the Student Union Memorial Center and are asking for your support to reach our fundraising goal of $15,000. A single camping trip can cost up to $2,500, which is why fundraising events like our annual auction are vital to how many lives we can touch. This year, our auction dinner and fundraiser will feature a live and silent auction, musical entertainment, dinner, and prizes! Most importantly, 100% of the proceeds will go directly to Camp Wildcat in order to keep our camps cost-free for families.
We would love it if you could come to our auction! This year, auction items include a matching earring and necklace set from Kendra Scott, two tickets to the Tucson Symphony Orchestra, a product basket from Summit Hut, movie tickets and popcorn vouchers to the Loft and Roadhouse Cinemas, hundreds of dollars worth of gift cards to companies around Tucson, including Fox Restaurant Concepts (restaurants like Blanco, Zinburger, and North Italia), Hotel Congress, Beyond Bread, and so many more! Come and support an organization dedicated to the education of Tucson's youth and bring home some cool items!
