Worlds of Words
September 13, 2017

Ignite your creativity by joining author-illustrator Yasmine Surovec for a cartooning workshop held at Worlds of Words during which artists young and old can learn helpful hints to create their own comics.

Surovec is the author/illustrator of the book "Cat Vs. Human" and the popular comic blog of the same name. She also wrote and illustrated the picturebooks "I See Kitty" and "A Bed for Kitty" in addition to the chapter book series "My Pet Human." Originally from the Philippines, she spends her time in both California and Arizona.

The cartooning workshop with Surovec is part of Worlds of Words' WOW Book Fiesta program, providing story journeys for children and families. The event is free and open to the public; all artists, aspiring or otherwise, are encouraged to join.

Free professional development is available for teachers.
