The federal Public Health Emergency for COVID-19 expired May 11 and, aligned with this transition, Cats TakeAway Testing will end on Friday, June 23.
To allow sufficient time for processing samples and reporting test results, please note the following dates:
- For Tucson Cats TakeAway Testing locations, the last day to submit a test is Thursday, June 22.
- For Phoenix Cats TakeAway Testing locations, the last day to submit a test is Wednesday, June 21, by 2:30 p.m.
The following testing options will continue to be available for University employees and students at the Tucson main campus:
- The Campus Health Pharmacy sells COVID-19 rapid tests and is located on the ground floor of Campus Health.
- Free COVID-19 rapid tests are available at the Campus Pantry.

COVID-19 testing appointments are available through Campus Health (visit/copay charge will apply). You can call 520-621-9202 to schedule an appointment.

COVID-19 testing options in the community:
- There is a free testing center at the Pima County Health Department.
- Free at-home tests are available at libraries, Pima County Health Department clinics and at local events.
- Testing appointments are available through the Pima County Health Department.
