Dean of Students Office New Website

To: The Campus Community

Kendal Washington White, Interim Dean of Students

Subject: Dean of Students Office New Website

Date: October 31, 2013

We are excited to announce the Dean of Students Office new official website:

The new website serves as a critical tool for our many campus constituents and community partners: students and their families, faculty, and staff.  While providing information in a user-friendly and more easily navigable format, we are also thrilled that the site reflects the Dean of Students Office brand.  It is our hope that users become more aware of our services and the resources available to them as a result; whether that is code of conduct, academic integrity, faculty support, conflict coaching, family support, or First Amendment and Title IX issues, among many others.

The web team included creative and technical experts from Student Affairs Marketing, Student Affairs Systems Group and Dean of Students Office staff.  The site includes updated content and new features such as:

  • Accessibility on all mobile devices, smart phones and tablets
  • Information organized by user population
  • Quick Links to frequently visited topics
  • Prominent “Need Help Now” button listing emergency and “Dean on Call” information
  • Calendar listing department events
  • News announcements on the home page
  • Aesthetically pleasing pages with photos

Other key components of the site will be rolled out in the coming months.  In the meantime, I invite you to provide feedback, thoughts and comments as we work to improve our services to the campus community.

Please take a few minutes to make new links from your department’s website and we also advise you to contact us with any potential broken links the redesign may have caused.
