Program

The State of Arizona invites people at risk for Type 2 diabetes to participate in an online, interactive class to reduce your chances of getting that diagnosis. The class meets at intervals over the course of a year, starting weekly, then moving to bi-weekly, etc. The meetings will always take place from 11-noon on Thursdays and start on Thursday, March 24.

Qualifying for the class

If you have been diagnosed as pre-diabetic and/or have a BMI of 25+, or think you are at risk for diabetes and are willing to take a test to qualify for the class, then this is an opportunity for you!

What's in it for you?

Generally, you will learn to make better choices for your health and well-being.

Anecdotally, some people have taken the class and lost upwards of 10% of their body wieght by learning how to make better eating choices. Obviously, there's no guarantee to your personall outcome, but losing weight is a distinct possibility because the program's goal is to get you to a healthier BMI by the end of the year.

Also, if you are participating in the State of Arizona's HIP program, completing the course is worth 200 points. Not too shabby!
