Subject: Forums to discuss proposed revisions of promotion and tenure

Faculty leaders and campus administrators have initiated a series of forums to discuss proposed revisions of our promotion and tenure criteria. These forums will provide opportunities to discuss specific aspects of some changes in P&T that have been discussed in the Faculty Senate. These forums will lead right into our spring workshops for promotion and tenure candidates, and also the revisions of the P&T documentation that we use to launch the process each May. These deliberations are focusing on tenure reviews because our continuing status provisions already have the sort of integrated approach to research, teaching, and service that we are considering. We hope you can find the time to offer your input on these issues.
