Free breast cancer screening on campus

Breast cancer is one of the most common cancers in the U.S., and early detection is a proven line of defense against this deadly disease. Unfortunately, these vital screenings all but halted in early 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

On Thursday, May 13, benefits-eligible employees, and spouses covered by their insurance, have a quick and convenient opportunity to participate in this lifesaving screening on the University of Arizona campus.

This session, provided through the Mobile On-site Mammography program, includes a full-field, 3D digital mammogram with computer-aided detection. People with breast implants are welcome. Patients under age 35 must have a doctor’s referral, and MOM is unable to screen people who are pregnant or nursing, unless referred by a physician. CDC-compliant COVID-19 protocols will be in place, and patients must wear face coverings.
