Free Earth Day Celebration – April 22

Pima County Cooperative Extension
April 21, 2017

This Earth Day, children of all ages and their families are invited to learn how to care for the environment and themselves at Tucson Village Farm’s Seeding Your Soul Earth Day festival. The event, planned by 4-H Healthy Living Ambassadors from local high schools, will expose participants to topics that focus on ways people can improve their mental health and wellness while appreciating and protecting the environment.

Healthy Living Ambassadors will lead youth through stations with activities on topics including Gardening for Mental Health, Yoga and Meditation, Sleep, Art for the Soul, Protecting the Environment, Music, Outdoor Activities and National Parks, Nutrition, Pancakes for the Planet and Rainbow Smoothie Cycling. Along with peace of mind and a newfound appreciation for nature, attendees will leave the event with an environmentally friendly gift.

The event will be held on April 22 from 9 a.m.-12 p.m. Please note: The event will be held at the University of Arizona Campus Agricultural Center, located on the northwest corner of Campbell Ave. and Roger Road (entrance off Roger Road).
