Grades/Grading System Policy Announcement – Correction

To: Faculty and Staff

From:

Celeste Pardee, Assistant Director of Academic Policies and Organizations

Subject: Grades/Grading System Policy Announcement – Correction

Date: March 21, 2017

On March 8, a memo was distributed announcing an amendment to the Grades/Grading System Policy had been approved, allowing departments to add C-grade course prerequisites when this is necessary for students to succeed in a specific course. Although the Faculty Senate approved this option for fall 2017, that term is not feasible.

The Fall 2017 Schedule of Classes is already posted and students are registering, so it is too late to add course grade prerequisites. Therefore, this policy amendment cannot take effect until spring 2018, as stated in the corrected first paragraph of the memo attached to this update.

Please do not submit grade-prerequisite course modifications for fall 2017!
