Graduate Students: Tech Launch Arizona Student Fellows Positions Open
Tech Launch Arizona is responsible for protecting, marketing and negotiating licensing deals for intellectual property resulting from University research.

TLA Fellows work both individually and in groups with Technology Licensing Managers assisting in the assessment of new technology disclosed to the office. Specific responsibilities of technology assessment include:
- Patent landscape research
- Market research and commercial assessments related to the competitiveness of assigned technology and potential target licensees
- Creation of "non-confidential summaries" for assigned technologies
- Other duties as assigned
Your skills and experience
This position is ideally suited for students with a technical/engineering/medical background and an interest in intellectual property. At this time, we are searching for those with expertise in engineering.
In order to apply for this position you must:
- Commit to working a minimum of 10 hours per week during the academic semester
- Be an engineering or science graduate student not on a research assistantship or teaching assistantship, or be a law student with a technical background (i.e. biomedical or physical science – chemistry, physics, optics or materials)
- Be a US citizen or permanent resident
- Have good writing and communication skills
- Have a keen interest in technology commercialization, intellectual property and the vision moving innovations from the lab to the marketplace
