Grants for Lunch: 'Perfecting Your Pitch'

GIFT Center
January 12, 2017

Please join the GIFT Center for the upcoming presentation: "Perfecting Your Pitch: How to Deliver Your Research to a Lay Audience" on Feb. 15 from 10:30 a.m.-12 p.m. at the Vine Avenue Annex, Room 102.

It can be difficult to "wing it" when trying to deliver a complicated message, so don't wing it!

During this Grants for Lunch we will discuss how to:

  • Identify jargon and learn to define it clearly
  • Make your pitch more effective, compelling and memorable
  • Understand what information and emotional connection your audience needs

In partnership with the Pacific Science Center, Olivia Miller and Chelsea Farrar train research fellows to refine their research delivery to lay audiences. Join us and learn tools you can take with you to perfect your pitch and talk to anybody about the important work you do.

Come prepared to learn, share and take part in fun hands-on exercises! See flier for more information.

Kindly RSVP online by Feb. 10 at the link provided here.
