Subject: Handshake is Replacing Wildcat Joblink as University-Wide Career Development and Job Board Platform

Date: May 30, 2017

Colleagues,

This month, Handshake is replacing Wildcat Joblink as our university-wide career development and job board platform. Handshake allows for a more intuitive, user-friendly and personalized experience for recruitment and career development.

Additionally, Handshake will provide:

  • A consistent experience and "one-stop shop" for recruitment and career development opportunities for students, employers and staff.
  • A tool that supports and streamlines the work of staff who have career development, employer relations and internship posting responsibilities on campus.
  • A basic ability for academic advisors or faculty to identify resources, job opportunities, etc., to support student advising.

Transition timeline:

  • Employers invited to Handshake in early May.
  • Students invited to Handshake on June 1.
  • Students will continue to have access to Wildcat Joblink through June 30.

There is no access to Wildcat Joblink after June 30. All reports or records and any feeds that have been established to/from the system will cease to be available.

Students who have documents (resumes, cover letters, etc.) stored in Wildcat Joblink should download and save those documents before June 30.

Support for Students

If you work directly with students who want to learn more about Handshake, you can find resources on this FAQ page.

If You Hire Students

If you hire students, we've put together instructions on how to create your Department's UA Handshake account. In this account, you can post jobs, schedule interviews and create events.
