Help Make the Feb. 8 Basketball Game a Zero-Waste Game

Sustainable UA
February 2, 2018

During the Feb. 8 basketball game against UCLA, the University of Arizona is hoping to score big on the court and off.

Through a collaborative effort by Arizona Athletics, the Office of Sustainability, Greening the Game, Green Team, Facilities Management, the ZonaZoo, Arizona Student Unions, the Pride of Arizona marching band, Associated Students of the University of Arizona, and Coca-Cola, we will be competing in the Pac-12 Zero Waste Challenge. Help the UA divert more trash from the landfill by tossing your recyclables and compost materials out at the zero-waste stations set up during the game. Keep an eye out for students in green "Zero Waste" vests. If we all do our part, we can make this game waste free, win bragging rights from the Pac-12 competition and continue to ensure big UA events leave the smallest footprint possible.

Follow us on the Sustainable UA Facebook page for more information and updates.
