Date: Jun 29, 2022

University Information Technology Services will update the University’s Single Sign-On (SSO) login system from 6 p.m. Friday, July 8, through 7 p.m. Sunday, July 10. During this maintenance window, campus systems will experience disruptions and degraded performance.

UITS will be using this time to implement the following changes effective Monday, July 11:

  • University services that ask for email addresses during the login process will use @arizona.edu addresses instead of @email.arizona.edu. These include the University accounts for Microsoft Office, Google and Adobe, as well as collaboration tools such as Box and Zoom.
  • Third-party services (that do not use the University's single sign-on process) you have signed up for using your netid@email.arizona.edu address will not change. Messages sent to @email.arizona.edu addresses will continue to be received.
  • Student email – called CatMail – will send from students' netid@arizona.edu addresses, instead of netid@email.arizona.edu. Students will still receive email that is sent to their @email.arizona.edu address.

Helpful Tips

  • Your first use of some systems after the maintenance window may prompt you to re-authenticate with your NetID and password.
  • If your first attempt to log in to campus systems with your netid@arizona.edu address is unsuccessful, please use your netid@email.arizona.edu address for system changes to fully populate throughout enterprise systems.
