Subject: The June 17 Convo with Cantwell has been postponed
Date: Jun 15, 2021

The scheduled June 17, 3:00 p.m. Zoom fireside chat with Elizabeth "Betsy" Cantwell, senior vice president for research and innovation, on updates on the collaborative work being done on campus toward equity in research, has been postponed until the fall semester. While we originally scheduled this topic as a one-year update since #ShutDownSTEM and to coincide with Juneteenth, we received feedback requesting that this important conversation happen in the fall, when the University community has returned from the summer break and more faculty, staff and students are available to attend.

We would like to thank the scheduled panelists for making time for this conversation: Judy Kiyama Marquez, Associate Vice Provost, Faculty Development; Ivy Banks, Associate Vice Provost, Diversity & Inclusion; and Ravneet Chadha, Executive Director, University Analytics/Institutional Research. We will announce a new date later in the summer for this Convo with Cantwell. If you have questions in the meantime, please contact Jennifer Fields, Director, Office of Societal Impacts, at fieldsj@arizona.edu.

Please note that there will also be no Convo with Cantwell episodes in July or August. The series will resume in September.
