Launching this month: Monthly University employee mini-health screenings
The new year is here and that means change and growth. We are happy to share a big change in how Life & Work Connections (LWC) will offer employee health screenings in 2020.
Beginning January 22, LWC will offer FREE 20-minute mini-health screenings (provided by Healthwaves) at multiple locations throughout the Tucson campus. These mini-health screenings are for full benefits-eligible employees and replace the department health screenings and individual health screenings previously offered.

Quick Facts
The new mini-health screening program will operate faster, serve more employees, and create more screening choices. Services will include:
- A fasting full blood draw lipid panel
- A Hemoglobin A1C test
- Weight and waist measurement
- Osteoporosis screening
Results will be mailed to the employee within 5–7 business days following a screening. LWC staff will offer free consultations regarding the results.
