Dear Colleagues,

The MENTOR Institute is pleased to announce the first round of MENTOR Seed Grant awardees. The three awardees are listed below with the title of the project and a brief description. We look forward to their research which will help increase our understanding of mentoring best practices.

  • Brandy A. B. Perkl, associate professor of practice, Organizational Leadership & Psychology, College of Applied Science & Technology

    • Co-Mentoring in Research Apprenticeships: This project aims to characterize the nature of co-mentoring and its impact across the University.
  • Angelina Anani,  associate professor, Mining and Geological Engineering, College of Engineering

    • Engaged - REAL Work program: This project aims to evaluate how an undergraduate research program in engineering shifts faculty perceptions of students' capacity to engage in research.
  • Ashlee Linares-Gaffer,  associate professor of practice, Nutritional Sciences & Wellness, College of Agriculture & Life Sciences

    • Mentoring to Increase Access to Professional Opportunities: This project seeks to improve impacts on dietetics students through a team mentorship program.
